Service Limits
- No service for:
- personally-owned computers
- computers "trash picked" out of a SWAP pile
- PDA's, cell phones, other electronic devices - we service computers, printers, and scanners.
- Computers must :
- be in our inventory
- have a working CD-ROM drive
- run Windows XP or Mac OSX (no Unix or Linux support)
- Windows pc's must have at least 256MB RAM
- have the language set to English characters
- have a computer maintenance account
- meet UW and CAE security rules
- be located in EH, CAE or WSEL
- We do not service computers off-campus. Faculty and staff can, however, bring UW-owned computers to our office in EH 2250 for service.
- We reserve the right to decide:
- if we will service a computer
- to bring a subcontractor in

How We Prioritize Service Calls

Classroom instruction - class is underway (or due to be held in the next 24 hours) and a computer problem stops the class from proceeding. |
